My Name is Mark Earp..

I started carving wooden sculptures a few years ago. I chose wood as a medium as I have always been involved in the timber industry as a tree surgeon & landscape gardener, so for me wood carving has been a natural progression and art is my first love. I had a desire to create garden sculptures after felling trees as part of landscaping jobs it just seemed to bring the tree back to life (this is how I came up with the name Tree cycle).

The chainsaw was always going to be my chosen tool, for me it is a part of who I am. I enjoy the speed and agility that all my different chainsaws give me.

 I work from two sites, my worksite looks out over the sea on the North Wales coast. I

also work on some farmland / wood mill.

 I travel to shows big and small all around the country this allows me to meet many very interesting people. I love to talk to people who have the same interest (wood). After meeting different people I decided to start my own events “Tree cycle events” I run a few shows each year, I then became a we….
